Description
Cocodamol Caplets are for the short term treatment of acute moderate pain when other painkillers have not worked. Co-Codamol is available to buy online as a packet of 32 capsule-shaped tablets also known as caplets.
Co-codamol is a type of painkiller that contains Paracetamol and Codeine. Co-Codamol tablets are used in adults and children over 12 years of age for the short-term relief of moderate pain that is not relieved by other painkillers such as Paracetamol or Ibuprofen alone. Due to the risk of opiate addiction use of this medicine should be limited to just 3 consecutive days.
Co-Codomol is used to treat:
– Headache.
– Migraine.
– Toothache.
– Period Pains.
– Rheumatic pains.
– Muscle pains and backache.
Dosage:
Do not give to children under 12 years of age.
Age Dosage:
– Adults Take two tablets not more frequently than every 4-6 hours when necessary, up to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours.
– Elderly Take two tablets not more frequently than every 4-6 hours when necessary, however, a reduced dose may be required. The dose should not be repeated more frequently than every 4 hours.
– Children aged 16-18 years. Take one to two tablets every 6 hours when necessary up to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours.
– Children aged 12-15 years. Take one tablet every 6 hours when necessary up to a maximum of 4 tablets in 24 hours.

This medicine is NOT suitable for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Please speak with your pharmacist or GP for further information.
What side effects could I expect?
Co-Codamol is generally well tolerated but the following side effects tend to be the most common. These are primarily caused by codeine.
– Constipation, feeling sick (nausea), being sick (vomiting), dry mouth
– Dizziness, light-headedness, drowsiness, confusion
– Feeling overly happy (euphoria)
– A feeling of unease or dissatisfaction
